Description
Enhance Your Garden with Natural Wool Mulch
Mulch & Weed Rolls made from natural wool fibres give you a sustainable, plastic‑free way to retain soil moisture, suppress weeds and create stable conditions for healthy plant growth.
Key Benefits
Made from 100% Natural Wool
Natural wool fibres create a safe, plant‑friendly mulch that avoids plastic and supports a healthier garden environment.
It is comfortable to handle and suitable for use around a wide range of plants.
Convenient & Easy to Use
The rolls are easy to cut and lay out, giving you a thick, even mulch layer with less time spent weeding.
They are flexible enough to fit raised beds, borders and irregular shapes.
Naturally Pest‑Unfriendly Surface
The texture of the wool fibres is uncomfortable for many slugs and snails and is harder for birds to disturb.
This helps protect young plants while they are establishing.
Supports Healthy Plant Growth
As the mat slowly breaks down, it releases nutrients into the soil like a gentle, slow‑release fertiliser.
Over time it helps improve soil structure and organic matter.
Moisture & Temperature Regulation
Wool can hold a large amount of moisture and release it gradually as the soil dries, helping the root zone stay more evenly moist.
At the same time, its insulating properties help buffer soil against temperature swings in hot and cold weather.
Fully Biodegradable
The mats are strong enough for reliable weed suppression without synthetic glues or plastic reinforcement.
When they break down, they leave behind improved soil and established plants instead of waste.
How to Use Your Wool Mulch & Weed Mat Rolls
Step one – Prepare the ground
Clear the planting area by removing existing weeds, old mulch and large debris so the mat can sit directly on the soil.
Rake the surface level so there are no big bumps or holes.
Step two – Cut rolls and planting holes
If you are using rolls, measure your beds and cut each piece to the length you need.
Mark and cut small planting holes or slits where each plant will go so the mat can fit closely around the stems.
Step three – Position and secure the mat
Place the mats or rolls on the soil, aligning the holes with your plants or positioning them around existing plants.
Fix them in place with suitable pegs or pins so they stay flat and in close contact with the ground.
Step four – Water and maintain
Water thoroughly so the wool settles into place and forms good contact with the soil.
From there the mat will help reduce weed growth, retain moisture, buffer temperature and gradually break down to feed the soil.
